Event

This year the event will take place from 17 – 19 October

at the main building of the Palazzo dello Steri, University of Palermo at Piazza Marina 61.

SOCIAL PROGRAM

NATO M&S COE will host an Ice-breaker reception on Tuesday 17th of October.

On the second day, a non-hosted dinner is planned for those interested (preliminary price of €35 paid by participants on the spot) at the Officers Club of the Armed Forces of Italy at 19.45.  What is part of menu you can find here. Dress code – casual.

TRANSPORTATION

We expect that most of the conference participants will fly to Sicily by plane.

The main airport in Palermo is “Falcone-Borsellino Airport“, located in Punta Raisi, 35 km northwest of Palermo.

There are many ways to get from the airport to the city center and each of you will choose the most convenient option for you. Please click on the preferred means of transport, where the current information will be displayed.

Train Bus Taxi
Palermo airport has its own train station that you can use to either depart from or arrive to. The station is located underneath the terminal and is designed as an underground railway. It takes about an hour to get from the airport to Palermo city’s center on the train. If you prefer to travel by bus, you may do so at the Palermo airport. It is about the same cost and travel time as the train, but it has more frequent and more convenient drop-off locations. Busses arrive and depart from both the Palermo city center and the airport every half hour. Transfer to Palermo city centre within 35 minutes by taxi.

CONFERENCE FEE

The Conference fee is 110€ for each attendee to cover conference and administrative expenses. Instructions on how to pay the conference fee will be sent to the email you provided during registration approximately 14 days before the start of the conference.
