Cooperation Arrangement between the Simulation and Validation Centre of the Italian Army and NATO Modelling & Simulation Centre of Excellence

Civitavecchia – On 7 July 2022, the Simulation and Validation Centre of the Italian Army (Ce.Si.Va.), located in the “Giorgi” Barracks, signed a cooperation arrangement with the NATO Modelling & Simulation COE (M&S COE), located in Italy (Rome), to advance the cooperative efforts between the two Centres.

The Ce.Si.Va. Commanding General, Maj. Gen. Claudio MINGHETTI, and M&S COE Director, Colonel Stefano LO STORTO, had a long meeting to discuss and sign the “Cooperation Arrangement”. This close cooperation between the Centres solidifies a long relationship and will be reflected in common projects in the future.

By signing the Cooperation Arrangement, the M&S COE and Ce.Si.Va gain access to each other’s subject matter expertise and ensures their cooperation and common interest in the field of Modelling and Simulation.  The arrangement allows for a better collaborative environment between the two organizations to streamline their efforts on specific topics.

The cooperation covers, but is not limited to: Joint experimental efforts, sharing best practices, knowledge and experience, joint research and development projects, educational and qualification programs, joint training activities, joint participation in workshops or conferences and providing mentorship or consultancy.
