8th “Modelling and Simulation as a Service (MSaaS): Rapid deployment of interoperable and credible simulation environments” (NATO MSG-136) meeting in Rome
From 20th to 24th February 2017, the NATO Modelling and Simulation Centre of Excellence (M&S COE) hosted the meeting of the NATO Science & Technology Organisation (STO) /NATO Modelling & Simulation Group MSG-136 “Modelling and Simulation as a Service (MSaaS): Rapid deployment of interoperable and credible simulation environments”. In accordance to the agreed definition, M&SaaS is a means of delivering M&S applications, capabilities and associated data on demand by providers to consumers. MSG-136 objectives are to investigate, propose and evaluate standards, agreements, architectures, implementations, and cost-benefit analysis of Modelling and Simulation (M&S) as a Service (MSaaS) approaches. Specifically, with regards to evaluating the use of M&S domain services to improve simulation interoperability and credibility, and to analysing the organizational M&S services perspective to establish a sustainable and efficient management of M&S services in NATO.
